Ta-dah~! :D The toadstools and the flowers are living in the drawer. Flowers has three-dimentional nose and mouth on their face. By the way, flower is "hana" in Japanese and nose also "hana". So, they has "hana" on the face, because they are "hana". ...This is a dull joke. :-P (But each Kanji are different.)

and miniature broom. This is small but a little heavy.

I made miniature chair before a few month, I painted at last. This chair made from resin cast, it's a little heavy too. I will make other design chair later, because I felt that I don't like some detail after done.

I put illustrations on the outside walls. I could perfect this time! :) I always fail when put paper on the board of the same size as paper. :,-(

Well... I may don't use this decoration, curtains and like a signboard, because it can't see inside by this decoration. ):-( This decoration is removable. This dollhouse have a situation like a theater. I want to use just a signboard, because it's colorful. It will looks very nice to this box type. I have a plan that put it on the back wall.

I had stopped to make a dollhouse of box type, but I start out again. I make a fantasy world in this dollhouse. I put some illustrations on outside walls.

I start for my miniature life 2012. :)
I made miniature pizza by air dry clay. This style is like a Japanese food sample (Fake food).

Sometimes I order for delivery pizza. Delivery pizza in Japan is almost american pizza type, not thin and not crispy. But we can choose which hope thick or thin when order for pizza type. I like thin and crispy type.

I love Italian pizza. :-9

I posted some photos about other marvelous miniature artist's work yesterday in my blog. Today I post about my miniature works. I have a lot of photos. :D

I made miniature cookies by clay. I did by two type method. They are same design but it's different figure. Left side cookies are not beautiful cross. I must to more practice. To make right side cookies are hard work a little. I like a method of left side. I choose right side cookies to my miniature work this time.

I already showed you this photo, but let me show again. One shape has hidden in the floor. Can you find that? If you could find that, your life in the next year will be ultra happy! hahaha. (hint: a bear)

Three lollipops. These candy are called "pero pero candy" or "perolin candy" in Japan. "Pero pero" is a adverb, meaning "suck".

This is failure. X( This color make fall off appetite. hehehe But I guess this can useful for a diet, :D because I loose desire to eat sweets when I see this.

To make plant it's very hard to me, but I challenge to make that. This little tree is still bald, but in the next photo....

it had leaves and five colors apples, green, yellow, orange red and gold. :D Some veins disappeared in the making process. :,-(
I made little story :D, "If the person do a lot of good deed, gold apple will has in the tree and it will hear the person's prayer..."

It is sold Hundreds line up for sale of Year-End of Jumbo lottery tickets in this season in Japan. The first prize is three hundred million yen. (about three and nine million US dollars)

This is a muffler to miniature bear. I crocheted by organic cotton. I can't knit and crochet. XO So I was crocheting with see the book how to crochet.

（In the high school I went had a home economic, one time in three years (Japanese high school has three years) has a subject about knitting or crocheting. The subject was very suffering to me. I had to knit a sweater. Anyway I didn't want to knitting, one day I threw it on the corner of living floor by irritation. I never did knitting, but strangely, stitches increased little by little. Then I was convinced of existence of dwarf in my home. LOL But in reality my mother knitted the sweater. The sweater was done by my mother, but I and my family nobody wore that. Because it was very heavy as an armor by I used a lot of woolen yearn haphazard and bottom of the sweater was poor stitches by my poor work. It was not cool. I don't know the armor sweater where is now. This story is long ago. LOL)

I drew illustration to package of cookie. I drew detail, but...

detail is not need to reduction. But I will draw illustration detail because sometime I have opportunity that use big size. This can made by stainless steel pipe. I leaved a face of a part of stainless steel.

He lives in a forest, make his living space by use a ruin. He has spent happy time and happy life with his likes.

I went to Japan Guild miniature show last month. I got wonderful miniature plants there. :-))) ta-dah~!

(from left: Mr. Masahiro Mahara, Hiroyuki & Kyoko, Mrs. Hiromi Takahashi)

These plants are sooooooo amazing!!! Hiroyuki & Kyoko are very famous in the miniature world in Japan and in United States too. Sometimes they go to America, and have a course that teaching to how to make miniature.

I put wonderful miniature plants on the little corner type dollhouse I made. Oh! They are be more wonderful!!

I also got miniature glass bottle and cake stand. They are so tiny! Two pieces of bread are my works. I tried put on the cake stand. Bread is be so lovely too. hehehe~.

I will collect more other miniature plants. :-) I will make dollhouse to display those near future. I noticed that it is better than display in the glass case.

Artists, these works, are very good persons. They answered to my questions pleasantly. I think that their personality have appeared in their works. :-)) Anyway, marvelous!

Shelf and food etc.

I made miniature box shelf. I made hinges too. I don't want to make this again, because it was hard work to me. :-( I try test to open. It put hinges on the box by tape temporarily.

Open~. Good! I will put board to inside and a handle on the door.
I may buy miniature hinges next time...

Miniature walnut bread.

Lovely doughnut hill. It not glue each other yet. When it glue, the hill will be more tall. And, with lovely candy sticks. :-9

I made miniature candles with shabby can again. Red candle is passion, orange is cheerful and blue is peace of mind....

OK, these photos are not about miniature. I have gone to illustration class in community college. My teacher gave us a theme to draw the illustration on the paper coaster to both sides. The theme was "Christmas". We drew the illustration of Christmas on the coaster, and remake to Christmas ornament. :) I didn't draw on the coaster directly. I already drew that on other paper. So, I cut a circle and glued on the coaster. I drew red sox and.....

I am very busy for long time. I don't have enough time to write blog in English. :,-( I always need enough time when I write in English. But I will make every effort.

I sewed new bears. Bears color of yellow ocher and...

cream. It seemed white in this photo, but actual color is cream like white. I don't especially decide make a boy or girl bear when I was making it.

But if put a ribbon on the head, bear is a girl....

if put the ribbon in the neck, it is a boy.

These are nuts made from air dry clay. I didn't worry to detail, because these nuts mix into the clay. I make miniature stollen.

I made other nuts and dry fruit too. A stollen in the right include nuts, a stollen in the left is not include nuts. Because it just paint to surface.

I sliced a stollen included nuts. I made texture like sponge on the sliced stollens. And I made damage like scratch on the cutting board.

Miniature wooden boxes and wreath of bay leaf. Bay leaves made from paper. I make shabby on the box.

Miniature red sock, candy cane and candle. Two balls made by needle felting.

I guess I could good twist and make beautiful pattern of red and white. A candle have a story. A bear made candle by honey, put it into a shabby can. Aroma may honey and sweet. hahaha Of course, this candle is not real candle, made from clay.

Tokyo views

The other day, I went to Roppongi, Tokyo. This city is mode, there are a lot of clubs, and a lot of rich people, celebrity and foreigners lives there.

This photo is a TV station building TV-Asahi. Tokyo tower in the left of this photo is a place of interest.

I went to Roppongi hills. There are a lot of shopping stores, restaurants, a movie theater and an art museum. I went to a observation deck. This building has 52 floors. These views see from 52 floors. It seems diorama. :)

Tokyo`s sky is not clear in this season.

The green zone is cemetery. A lot of Japanese famous authors has slept here.

It say that this building has preventive measures to earthquake.

These buildings are apartment houses. Rich people live in these buildings. :O

Buildings are high, and rent is high too!

You can see yellow "U" in the center of this photo. This "U" was a roller coaster (half pipe). Famous discount store had it on the top of their building to get customers. But many stores and residents live in near this discount store protested to this store, because the machine make grave noise and crime. (They were going to operation at daytime and midnight. ) After all, this machine never worked by protest of neighborhood.

I was hungry, so I ate hot sandwich in the cafe, this floor. I wanted to eat with see view, I sat on the seat in the side of the window. But this day was very shine day and high temperature. I couldn't sit in this seat for long time....

Next, I went to Japanese garden in TV station.

These are pitcher to maple syrup. One is drip style, and other is no drip.

Halloween season will come next month. I made miniature new girl container. Their hats are halloween style, pumpkin and witch hat. These hats are not copy, each just one.

There is also halloween in Japan in recent years. But there is not custom children visit to some house to take candy. (I read on the newspaper for a few years ago, people in small community do it, for example, to visit each other's or friend's house. ) Ornament to halloween and halloween style goods sell in the stores, halloween style sweets also sell in the cake shop. I guess Japanese people, not all, just decorate, put pumpkin ornament (made from plastic etc.) on the table etc. I'm sorry, I don't know about Japanese halloween very well, because I do not decorate. hehehe...

I made miniature cabinets. I use green, it's rare for me. :) Handles are design of fish.

6 months since disaster

It passed six months since disaster, March 11th. Stricken areas do not make reconstruction yet. Japanese Prime Minister changed again in last week. We don't understand the present situation will advance to reconstruction and settle to radioactivity, because only incompetent Prime MInister has appeared since change a political party. And there are a lot of gaffe-prone minister in this political party. ):-(
We have disappointment and we can not expect easily to new party cabinet.

It have still uneasiness to about cesium in Japan.
There is about current situation etc. in The Japan times.

Door

I made door with doorknob and ornament to dollhouse. The height of this door is small to mini bears. Door don't glue on the wall yet. By the way, this door can not open.

I had made miniature bears again. :) A bear in the right has comical face. I like patchwork bear in the left so much. :))

The sewed bears gather! They are talking about something.

They have funny character each other. Their meeting will not finish forever... hahaha

I have built new dollhouse. Two bears will live in this room. This is 1:12 scales but wall is low for miniature bears.

I made new miniature bear. :) I used silk cloth with fur. The total length is about 6cm and a little. I had hoped this length. I got a metal charm of shape of ribbon and put tiny swarovski stone on the ribbon. A bear was be cute. :)

I must be do more practice to do embroidery to nose and stuff cotton. My bears are still awry. I will make more bears.

I have challenged to sew teddy bear now. :) I got beautiful cloths to bears, but I tried making by felt at first. I made first sewed bear (at the center). Yack! What is this?!
This is not bear certainly. LOL

Second challenge. I used miniature fur. The impression changed that use by miniature fur. Ears, nose and mouth are awry. The total length is about 6.5cm.

Third challenge. It's bear! Phew~. The total length is about 5.5cm. ummm~ I hope a little more tall. This bear looks like young child. But it's success. :))

All sewed bears can move head, arms and legs.

I will arrange for paper pattern a little.

I made miniature sliced bagel and marmalade jam. I put marmalade peel into the jam, but it can see little....
A small bowl of marmalade made from plastic board, I did a technique of heat press. It's difficult, specially to cut. I received some advices about heat press by other miniature creator. Hearing is easy but doing is difficult.

Japanese women soccer team "Nadeshiko Japan" won championship in FIFA Women's World Cup Germany 2011! Players never give up, they give a dream and hope to Japan after disaster, especially to stricken areas in Northeastern Japan! We learned "Never give up Spirit" from them. Japanese people are exciting!

Some women live in stricken area told in TV interview "We are very happy their championship! They gave us power and hope! We also never give up!"

Recover and rebuild in stricken areas are making very very slow progress by stupid government. ):-( A lot of people still are in public hall etc., and number of temporary housings are not enough. Why can not they leave from there, because country don't distribute them relief donations yet by bureaucratic reason. They lost house, money and job, they can not action smooth. (But, of course, there are other reason too. A part of them love for area, they don't have idea move to other city. And some people have got into the habit of laziness. They lose their independence. Anyway, it still have a loooot of problem in Japan.)

I made miniature unique plates, a hedgehog and an apple with a leaf.

and, I made miniature common container, unique just handle (What is this name in the case of container? pull? catch? grip?), design of cheese and strawberry. It was hard to paint the color to strawberry. I must be think other design. I will put logos or illustration on these container.

I got wonderful miniature works of awesome Japanese miniature creators in exhibition. :D Today, I introduce those for everyone.

This miniature glass bowl is by Dainanakoubou. This bowl has a diameter of about 1,2cm, was in a junk box. I asked her why is this junk? She told me a pattern is strange, not perfect. But I think it's very beautiful.

This miniature works is by Fukucchi. Every her works are tiny and lovely! She has good technique and a lot of knowledge about material. I learned some technique and about material. I am thankful for her. :)

Next! This miniature works is by Smile*Studio. I like her miniatures so much. :))) I met her first time and saw her real works in exhibition. I lost talk few seconds by emotion. All perfect!!!

This miniature works by KLEIN KLEIN. I am big fan of her works for long time. :)))) I love her miniature works. A miniature bear is about 2,5cm, besides head, arms and legs can move. Amazing!!!

I had was so busy to prepare miniature show. I didn't have enough time to write in English. I'm sorry.

Okay, Tokyo international miniature show was opened on last weekend, saturday and sunday. Unfortunately, saturday was rainy weather, so customers are not a lot, but sunday was fine weather, a lot of people came. :))

Let me report about miniature show a little. I spend very joyful days and I was glad. :))) I could meet and talk with my web customer. I was so happy!, and I talked other miniature creators. We exchanged various opinions and informations. I learned a lot of things about miniature works. I got precious things and wonderful fellows. An expert miniature creator said me "Your photos on the web are very beautiful and your works are very fine.". I was soooo glad with I feel I am on paradise! A lot of miniature creator active on the web (include me) participated in this show, so other miniature creators and customers were interested us.

Of course, I did failure too. :P Well, an European old woman picked up other creator's works to buy and she brought me it with keep silent. I thought she can't speak Japanese, so I spoke her poor English "it's not my works, the creator not on here now, I bring her, please wait for few minute." She nod with keep silent. Few minute later, I brought the creator, she explained her about works in Japanese, European old woman answered small voice Japanese very well! OMG! Why didn't she answer me in Japanese?! I asked her in Japanese "you speak Japanese?" She..... nod and keep silent.... I said her in Japanese "Sorry, my English jar, right?" She answered nothing. I was ignored. :,-( Later, I tore my hair with shameful. I decided I never speak English to foreign customer in the show. hahaha...

Angie Scarr had workshop and shop in this show. I heard her booth was very popular. I couldn't visit her booth. I didn't have enough time to visit all booths. uhmm... I regret.

For two days, those were be my good experience. :)

Cutlery and Panini grill etc.

I made miniature knife and fork. I had have an idea I make those by aluminum plate or wood plate, but I foreboded that high failure rate on making. I don't have enough time to failure, I don't want to fail, besides my heart also would break by shock. :p So I did copy as always copy technique I do, by urethane resin. But this way never easy. I failed 2 times on 3 times. But this shock by failure is not heavy to me, and some cutleries failed don't go to trash. It possible to repair.

I already had made miniature panini grill just body parts. I assembled it. An angle of the upper part was very difficult. It's hard work. I wanted cry. ... No. I cried and shouted by irritated. The construction is questionable, but it never has 100% questionable, I guess. hehehe

Of course, I made a plug too. If this don't have on panini grill, occur Where is energy from? A plug is Japanese style.

I wrapped miniature kouglof. It was hard work....

I made miniature roll of bread. They looks like caterpillar :P, or looks like swarms of The Ohmu that appear in Japanese famous animation movie "NAUSICAA of the valley of the wind." hehehe

Miniature cup cakes decorated with whipped cream and sugar icing cookie, crown and heart. It is popular sugar icing cookies in Japan now. I made miniature open star decorating tip again, because I lost old tip. I improve performance, it has beautiful lines than tip I lost. But it need more practice to decoration.

Miniature pan cake and Japanese pan cake "hot cake". (We call "hot cake" about pan cake. But recently, delicious American style pan cake shop has opened in some cities, Japan. So we can call distinguish between pan cake and hot cake.)
I put too maple syrup on each cakes. I like maple syrup in my real life :-9, for that reason I worked so.

I have a lot of photos today. :)

Oven finished. It looks like toy and cute. :)) I put some pans to test on the burner. I said "sizzzzle~" unwittingly. I backed to a little girl. :D What a fun just put on! The door of oven can not open and drawers (second to fifth) too. I'm so busy now and I don't have enough time to make open style.

Well... if dropped food on the floor, how about you? hehehe

I had dropped scrambled eggs on the floor once. I knocked strongly a handle of the frying pan with my careless, the frying pan turned a somersault and scrambled eggs dropped strongly on the floor. It was very hard to clean. :,-(

Dollhouse

I'm making dollhouse for exhibition. I have a dollhouse that not finish yet. I had a plan I finish it to use in exhibition, but it's a little smaller than 1:12 scale, besides I don't have motivation to finish it now. So I determined to make new dollhouse. I don't have enough time to make a room type. I make a corner of the kitchen. The design is as a dollhouse not finish. I like this design very much and also like floor of tiles. This floor made of plywood. It not seems plywood. :)

This is second post today. May I introduce about an American man to everyone? His name is Daniel Kahl, 51 years old, he has lived in Japan many years, he is very famous person in Japan, he is TV personality and translator. He speak so fluent Japanese with Yamagata (the northeastern) dialect. He is American, of course, he speak English but he hardly speak English in TV, so we are very surprised when he speak English. lol Because we have his image is Japanese northeastern person.

Japanese people know that it is reported wrong news about earthquake and nuclear power plant in the world. Almost Japanese feel crisis about it. And Daniel Kahl got know it, he determined to report actual situation and ask for don't get wrong news to the world people in English. If you have a few times, please see his message videos "Stop the Hysteria" on YouTube. This video has 7 including Japanese, he speak Japanese in a few video, but there is subtitle in English.

I made miniature vegetables, potato, carrot and onion. Onion is very difficult to make to me. I was so tired. lol

Miniature plates that both as a soup plate and a gratin dish. I found as this design plate in the plate shop. I wanted to buy it, but there are already a lot of plates in my house, so I abandoned to buy. I satisfy making to miniature.

The roux package of Cream stew. Cream stew is very famous Japanese menu. Almost people like this menu. :-9

Clubhouse sandwich and Panini

Clubhouse sandwich and corn soup. I always make hurt in my mouth by crisp bread when eat this, but I like clubhouse sandwich. It's delicious. :-9

Minestrone and panini. Well... both Italian food but logo on the cup is French. lol "Bon appetit" is very famous word in Japan, and we feel the sound "Bon appetit" like cute. :-) I like this word and sound.

Miniature again

I start open about miniature again. I have made some miniature food little by little. I must to make a lot of miniature works, because I participate in big miniature show in Tokyo this summer. I have participated in little exhibition on consignment, but this is my first participate in big show. I'm very nervous now (@_@), so my hands have shaken! Calm me! haha
Various events were canceled or restrained this month by influence of earthquake and consideration to victims. But this big miniature show will hold in this summer. And I will make dollhouse for exhibit (this is not for sale. just show.). I'm very busy now.

OK, I explain simply. This is model of Panini. I made this by Fimo soft. Sometimes I use Fimo soft to make model. This is like a steak or hamburger, it looks like delicious. :-9 hehehe

A lot of sandals. No! A lot of panini bread.

Finished! It looks like yummy. :-9 A represent of melted cheese is difficult.

Miniature toasted and sliced bread. There are few different color sliced bread, those are rye bread. I make miniature clubhouse sandwich.

Sliced tomato, cheese, ham and lettuce. Oops! I forgot make omelet! I must to prepare omelet.

Soup cups. There are different picture on both sides of cup.

I will open those on close-up after poured soup.

I feel happy to make miniature. I am thankful to this life.

Thank you always for worrying, helping and praying for Japan. A lot of problem are occurring by earthquake and tsunami. Everyone in all the country already know about radioactivity leaking in nuclear power plant, and there are crimes in the stricken area, thieves come from other city, steal money and goods from uninhabited house and debris, and a lot of relief supplies not supply to all evacuation center yet.

We know the dead and missing people increase day by day, we are depressed. But we hope and believe to survivors are found, because an old woman, 80 years old and her grandson, 16 years old were rescued on the ninth day in collapsed house. It might there are more other survivors.

umm.... I don't like to write about politic on my blog, but just a little. About radioactivity leaking and not supply to all evacuation center etc., I guess that the millions of Japanese people have uneasiness and doubt to governmental correspondence and their works are not smart. For example, they didn't permit to rescue to a part of foreign rescue team by silly reasons. (an episode, foreign doctor don't have Japanese medical license. So the Ministry of Health didn't permit them to do medical care in Japan. ):-( They permitted them now. ) Now Japanese government is the Democratic Party of Japan from last year, they created confusion in Japan since they got government. (besides the Japanese Prime Minister change frequently like a day duty since 2007.) We feel crisis to this government. This government will finish in this year. I hope it.

Now in some stricken area start revive little by little. I grieve for victims and I will proceed to I always am worried and help for the people have serious.
I switch to better feeling. I guess it's good, because I (We) can help to people in stricken area by contribute, stop buy up and save electricity etc. by I am or we are fine. I will back to normal.
(Some people live in city increase have mental trouble, because are watching to terrible image everyday on TV, they feel worry and empathy.
Oh, I'm OK. I don't have problem. )

Thank you so much for worrying, helping and praying about Japan. We are grateful for everyone of the world.

Seventh day have passed from earthquake. Everyday it still quake frequently, but we are feeling sense of quake without quake. It's strange sense. It seems always on the boat, train or bus.

Everyone already know Japan has nuclear crisis now. Radioactivity leaked, therefore a lot of inhabitant live within a radius of 30 kilometers of nuclear power plant have to stay indoors, do not out. When they are out, have to protect and care, and within a radius of 20~30 kilometers of the plant have to take refuge from there. This radioactivity is small amount, does not have effects to Saitama and Tokyo at least. If your family, friend and acquaintance live near nuclear power plant in Fukushima, please advice them that listen to news with be careful.

Relief supplies and oil can not arrive in a lot of stricken area in Fukushima by this accident. Drivers are afraid to radioactivity. And there are trouble by rumor. All area of Fukushima is not danger, just the area of nuclear power plant. But it is said that all area of Fukushima is danger by rumor. The northeastern area of Japan has more crisis. They can not receive enough relief supplies and oil by rumor and close to roads. 15 senior citizen died in a shelter without warm.

Besides, each center of the city in eastern Japan are making serious cause of lack of relief supplies to stricken area. People buy up food and toilet paper and tissue by sense of crisis to earthquake. Everyday and always is broadcasted a lot of terrible scenes of stricken area on TV. It make sense of crisis and fear. When I went to some supermarkets, it was empty all shelf of food. It is strange. We bought up, therefore food and paper to use relief supplies for stricken area are lacking. The government announced us please stop buy up, food and paper never lack.

Disaster affect life of people live in eastern Japan.

We got news in second day earthquake that a man died in California, he went to the beach to see tsunami. Please listen if you live in near the beach. Please do not go to beach to see tsunami with curiosity, it's so danger. And when you hear waring about tsunami, please escape to hill quickly.

There was warning to tsunami, but a part of millions of victims by tsunami in Fukushima and Miyagi didn't escape quickly, they were relax in house, because warning to tsunami always had. Those warning were not serious. Therefore it was their habit. And some people went backed home after tsunami, but tsunami attacked again in the city and a lot of people was dragged into the sea.

If occurred disaster and if your house have trouble, please don't go back home at once.

Thank you for reading and I'm sorry that I have wrote just about disaster, but I can not write about other things now. I want to write about Japan crisis now as a Japanese citizen and tell to the world. Informations I write get in newspaper, TV news and Internet in domestic. Earthquake 2

Thank you so much for worrying about Japan. We are so glad.
The third day since earthquake. It still quake, but does not has many times. It's no problem at least in Tokyo. Pipelines, gas, water and electricity, are suppling to us in my town. It is no change, same daily life.
I went to supermarket this morning. It was so crowded with customer. Mainly, most of meats and vegetables were a little, because some means of transportation are stopping now. Especially, instant noodles were sellout. Everyone bought those to emergency provisions. Instant noodles seem to convenience and be emergency provisions, but this is just when can get boiling water. When the situation of disaster will stop the pipelines to life, and can not make a fire, there is fear that case of gas is escaping.
Now, in some stricken area, a lot of victims can not arrive to a shelter and can not make a fire in the road or front of building destroyed by various reasons, some victims nibbled instant noodles without boiling water.
Most of shelters started distribution rice ball and bread to victims, and some shelters can make a fire are distributing hot soup. I grieve for victims...

This giant earthquake and tsunami made so fear and tragedy in the northeastern of Japan. Now missing people and the dead are exceed 2900... A lot of rescue teams are doing rescue operation now.

Today, there was big earthquake registered 8.8 on the Richter scale and tsunami in Sendai, the northeastern area, Japan, and there are missing people, the dead and the injured. There also was big earthquake in Tokyo. Dishes and things flew out from shelves in my house. I was fear.
The center of Tokyo and other city has big trouble in transportation. Trains has stopped now. Millions of people can not go back home by train. Fortunately, I was at home today.

I am fine, and also my family and friends are fine.
It still has earthquake frequently now. I feel bad, like a seasickness.

Cuff bracelet

I have enjoyed net window shopping. :) I found some cuff bracelets on Etsy. Those are simple design, but wonderful! I love it! I had an idea that order it, but almost handmade cuff bracelets are custom-made (put some word customer's favorite). It can not return articles, if the size is not fit on my wrist. So... I decided I make it myself! But, before I start, I studied in the web and book stores (reading at a bookstore) about how to make cuff bracelet by silver, what kind of tools need and how much cost to make.
Fortunately, I could buy cheap metal stamp in Amazon, and I could make three bracelets easily from one silver thin bar. Besides, I already have various tools to make miniature food and dollhouse. I can use them to make cuff bracelet. Anyway, it's economic. :))

This is my first handmade silver cuff bracelet! I oxidized silver cuff.
OK... it has a few problem (second "S" is upside-down :P) but could make good for first time. hehehe I was uneasiness when I hit words on the silver bar, because it can not failure. It need more practice to good.

I found new hobby. :))) I enjoy to hit the word on the metal or silver. I want to cute design stamp, so I ordered another metal stamp in the web shop of United State. :) I couldn't find cute design metal stamps for metal in Japan. (There are metal stamps for leather. ) Besides, there are not unique alphabet font in Japan, simple only. ):-( Now, I am worrying to buy unique alphabet font or not. ummm....

I made miniature cupcakes again for charm. I like this design as a comic. :) I used clay FIMO and Modena. FIMO: a part of cupcake. Modena: a strawberry and whipped cream.

By the way, I changed my web site design.

New design of my site was be simple, and top page, "Gallery" and "Illustrations" page has slideshow. :) In the case of different broadband, it might can not to see smooth. But I guess it's no problem. And I reduced a lot of sentence from my web site. There are only some Japanese and English sentence, but "How to make" (I wrote in the past) and announcement to domestic are only Japanese sentence. I'm sorry.

But I guess that this is no problem too. Because this blog is English, I write in English if I have some announcement to everyone and photos are almost same in my web site. This blog is my web site version of English. tee-hee :)

About clay

I tried another air dry clay "Modena", this clay is be strong and water-resistance after dry. It would be good to make charm. Today, I report about clays of Modena and Grace (I usually use this clay), and compare with this two clays and Fimo soft.

Well, this photo is before put color in clays. People reading my blog would know about Fimo soft well than me, so I don't write detailed about it.
It couldn't show well in this photo, Modena is a little translucent, and Grace is a little white before put color in clay, and Grace is stretch and very soft than Modena. Modena is a little bit hard, but it's so soft more than Fimo soft. And twisted, Grace has twisted mark clearly but Modena hardly has mark. When make a shape, it can make easily Fimo soft, next easy make shape Modena and Grace.

I made miniature Stollen by using each clay one by one. (not used technique of copy this time.) Oh, it is different color only Fimo, but never mind. :P (this is for painting to test) Air dry clay have a characteristic of shrink about 10% after dry. I made same size each other when I started make those. Two stollen of air dry clay after dried was be a little small than stollen of Fimo soft. This photo is before put color on Stollen. I guess Grace has characteristic of swell a little bit, so stollen of Grace looks like softly. But the texture of Modena and Grace are not different.
I guess Fimo soft is best that to make detailed texture (like a sand) on the surface.

After put color. Stollen of Fimo soft looks like heavy, It seems that's German bread! :-9 And other Stollen looks same, don't understand how different each other. But these seems just real bread. :-9 Shape of every Stollen made this time seems real existence.

If I was asked which clay I like, I like Grace. Because I am used to this clay. :) I want to use Modena to make charm or fruit etc., and also Fimo use to make charm. But Fimo is very hard to me. :,-( After all, I like Japanese soft clay. hehehe

I tried FIMO work, I used this clay for the first time. It's very hard clay and very different clay that I use usually. I made charm, cupcakes with whipped cream and smile cookie, those are large than 1:12 scale. Oh, cute! hehehe I guess it's good work. :)

broken cup with plant

Sometimes I mistake copy work to miniature plate and cup etc. by resin. Then if it is possible to restoration by putty, I do it. But if it is difficult to restoration, those go to wastebasket. X( Other day, when I did copy work, I made a few bad cups. I was going to throw those to wastebasket, but I had an idea. It call broken cup and these cups might be able to be used as a plant pot. I plant miniature ivy. I guess it is not bad. :)
And this time, I enlarged a hole than old cup in handle.

Ok, this is normal cup. I put illustration of cupcake on the cup.

I guess this design could use to real cup. :-)

Plants again and Rosemary

I made miniature plants again, but these size are little than the old plants.

And also, I made miniature rosemary. This photo is an image that see at a distance. It's nice looking. But...

Camera zoom in, ummm~~~ a little bit rough. Leaves and stem are out of balance. Leaves are about 1mm width, stem made from wire to make art flower, I used so thin wire. If I hope more thin, I must to find the material with strength that more thick than a hair and more thin than a thread. I don't have an idea now. X( In addition the stem's color is right yellowish green, this color has swelling effect. (Does it say "swelling color" in English? I'm sorry, I couldn't find the word in dictionary. If somebody know better word, please teach me. :)) So... I guess that seem the stem is thick.

ummm~~~~ OK. It's good, no problem with see at a distance.

I took some photos my real rosemary plants and observed a leaf figure. I had tried three ways to make miniature rosemary. I chose making by clay (mixed clay "Grace" and "Hearty").

I went to a cake shop. I found there some christmas cute cookies. :) There are Santa Claus, reindeer, angel and snow man. I chose a snow man. It's so lovely! I will display in the living room to best before.

I bought this that was charmed by his lovely smile, but I always am betrayed by smile design. I haven't ate delicious. :,-(

I thought that those cookies were made in the shop, but it's an import (Made in Vietnam). :0 Oh, some cake shop nowadays don't made these. I wonder if it will cost a deal.

Kitchenware and cup

I made miniature kitchenware. Well, this is tongs. This design that silicon rubber style in the tip have a popularity recently. I have one in my real life. :) It's very good because it don't scratch pots and pans. I will arrange this with orange frying pan, so I made orange color. The tip made from clay.

I remembered that I made a measuring cup a few years ago. I found silicon rubber mold of measuring cup from drawer, and I made in the usual way. Of course, this graduations is inaccurate. hehehe :P It's a just design.

Last one! I gifted a real size cup in the give away the last month. I made the cup in miniature. Wow! Very good! :)) A cheese on the left side of cup is an ornament.

I will arrange some miniatures on display board. I especially am happy and enjoy in this moment. :-)

Ivy (handmade & ready made)

I made miniature ivy. This is my handmade.

I felt tired that making a lot of leaves by myself at first, so I got ready made paper ivy sheet. This ivy sheet is generally for use in diorama. This is first try. The ivy sheet don't have color as white paper at first, and already are cut by laser, have connected a few point in the sheet. A runner, stem and leaves were a group. It cut a few point when take a group out sheet. I don't like paper runner, so I cut stem and leaves from runner, and I used a wire to runner. ummmm.... the leaves are thickness and unnatural.

First try paint was not good. I tried again. I made curl to leaves strongly. This is just try and see, I didn't paint carefully. ummmm... paper is thick.

Ready made ivy is beautiful figure. I think that this will not fit my miniature world, because my miniature style has handmade feeling. This ivy is too excellent, it will be conspicuous in other miniatures I made. So, I decided to use my handmade ivy this time.

Tomato pasta

I made miniature tomato pasta. The pasta look thick in this photo. :( But it's about 0.6mm in diameter, it see thin in the naked eye.

I had made miniature basil as I see real basil leaf about a hour. Then I felt bad and had headache by the smell of basil, only a leaf. X( The smell of basil unfit for aromatherapy.... (-_-;)

Tokyo Sky Tree and Food

I went to Sumida-ku, Tokyo, there is Tokyo Sky Tree (television and radio broadcasting tower, the height will be 634m), it is constructing to 2012. This tower will be one of the world's tallest. This day was too rainy day, so it couldn't see to the top by cloud.

The height is 478m now. The tower is being tall little by little every week.

I took this photo from block. The tower is too big! it don't notice just walking by contraries.

And I visited a soba shop (buckwheat noodle shop) to eat one food. It's this! ta-dah~!

This is Ebi ten don! "Ebi" mean lobster or shrimp, "ten" mean about tempura (deep-fried), "don" mean a bowl of rice. "Ebi ten don" in English is a bowl of rice topped with deep-fried shrimp. This Ebi ten don is not normal! It looks like tower! What a crazy dish up! ha-ha! This food of this shop often is introducing by TV. The owner contrived this Ebi ten don in the image of tower. It's very delicious! :)) I hardly ate breakfast to eat this food this day. When I arrived, I was so hungry. I ate all. :D

These are food samples (Japanese imitation food). A lot of restaurant has this imitation food menu in the show case beside enter their restaurant .

A few restaurant sometimes serve a little different real food from the imitation. For example, the imitation food has a lot of ingredients, but in real food has little etc.

The shop's food I visited was almost same design that real and imitation. :))

I made miniature grissini by air dry clay and wire basket. This bread is thin and long, it's difficult making this with a technique of making mold and copy. So I made this one by one. It's very difficult to make same size by hands.

I made miniature canned peeled tomatoes. I wrote the description of ingredients on the back that I did an example to real canned. But it always can't see well in the miniature world. I put the Italian word "El Fascino" on the label, I searched it in google translate. Oops! I noticed spelling mistake now!!! There is not "c"! I think Japanese people don't notice it, but I can't deceive Italian people and the people that understand Italian language, right? So.... I must remake the label.... (T_T)

I received wonderful gift from Italy two days ago. Caterina sent me wonderful miniature Italian food packages she made! :D (Oh My God! Her package already arrived in Japan, but my miniature don't arrive to her house yet. :,-( I think that my packages already are in Italy. Hey! The custom! Please through my packages! Mail carrier! Please deliver hurry up!) I first have foreign handmade miniatures. :) This is my treasure!

I told her that I love Italian food. She made me these. :-))) I guess this is hard work to a lot of packages! Grazie mille! Caterina! It can hear sound from some packages when shake it. :) It's like real.

I love Italian food, and I am interested in the ancient Roman's life (Pompei) and history of gladiator. I enjoy watching American TV drama "Spartacus Blood and Sand" now. :D This is the story of gladiator.

This day I received these minis, also I received American stationary of Halloween design from my Illustration teacher. (She went to USA for a few days. This is souvenir. :D) It was wonderful day with I felt foreign wind. :-)))

I finished sending give away and other lucky gifts. :) I hope all gifts will arrive in good condition in each country. I had sent packet to overseas, but it's many years ago. I forgot how to send. So, I learned it in the web of Postal service before sending my packets. But I had little occurrence in the post office. I was made to do useless work (writing to unneed documents), it was post office worker's mistake. Boo! ):-( But he apologized to me, and I could sent off my miniatures pleasantly. :)

My home page come 5th anniversary soon. :) And this English blog also come 2nd anniversary in this November. :) My character is get excited easily but soon cool down. :P But I can keep making miniature for long time! It's miracle!
And, at first I thought that couldn't keep writing in English for long time. I had idea that I was going to stop writing on three month. But various countries people see to my blog and sometimes some people send me glad e-mail. :-)) Therefore I could writing this blog in English for two years! I am thankful for everyone!

It come 5th and 2nd anniversary, I have plan give away with thankfulness. :-) I am preparing for it now. I will write about detailed explanation on this blog after a few days. Please wait for a few days.

Vacuum forming

I have tried vacuum forming, and I have practiced now. Today, I report still in progress.

To start vacuum forming, must to prepare tool of vacuum forming. This tool sell at the shop of plastic model, but it's expensive. So, I make by my hand in economy. :D I got little wood box and crevice tool of vacuum-cleaner in 100 yen shop. (this store is like an one dollar shop or 99 cent shop in USA) And I bought a punching sheet and sponge tape in other store. The cost of materials is under 1000 yen (about $10). :)

Next, I assemble a vacuum forming tool.

1. Cut short crevice tool, make a hole in the box for crevice tool. insert a crevice tool in the box, and fix by glue.

2. Put a punching sheet on the box by glue, and moreover gummed tape. And put sponge tape.

Box size is 11cm X 11cm. The inside diameter is 9cm X 9cm. But this inside area is a little wide to miniature. So, I made frame that made in paper and sponge tape to make little area.

Prepare two plywoods (11cm X 11cm), make hole 6cm X 6cm each, sandwich a sheet of plastic 7cm X 7cm (0.3mm thick) between plywoods, and fasten with a clip. This photo is plastic sheet after heat and vacuum. I have tried and practiced some various mold. I practiced in the mold of kouglof in this photo.

I guess that this hole is still a little wide. I will make new frame that inside area 5cm X 5cm.

Well... I have made a lot of trash now. XO I understand:

simple form（circle or square plate etc.）could vacuum forming well.

detail and very little or thin line etc. could not or difficult.

But I guess I could do it. I need more time to succeed....

Macaron

I made miniature macarons from resin clay. ummmm color was a little light. But it's no problem. :-) Macaron has pretty shape. :D I guess it is useful in miniature work.

I have eaten macaron only once at buffet in hotel. Macaron that I ate was mysterious texture and too sweet taste. Honestly speaking, I don't understand the taste is good or not. But I will try to eat another macaron again in the near future.

Wine bottle & Olive oil bottle

I had made miniature wine bottle and olive oil bottle. I mistook make wine bottle once, so I spent a lot of time. At last done. :-) An olive oil bottle is twist design. It's modernness? he-he-he.

I draw sunflowers and olive by my hand with color pencils, and processed and reduced in PC soft Photoshop and Illustrator. I had understood that those illustrations are not can't see detail. But I was disappointed again when I saw them real. :,-( I did my best.... boohoo

Bricks

I put bricks on the wall part of oven. I didn't put all, because I guess that tight bricks not match in this orange wall, besides there are near right color tile. A kettle is I made about two years ago.

And also I finished making edge of floor. A right side floor have wood board, a left side floor have bricks.

I almost finished making house. I'm going to put shelf in next work.

My miniature food or goods are 1:12 scale, but this house is a little small more than 1:12 scale. I guess that this dollhouse will become like a image of the world of dream or the world of picture book. :-) I'd like to finish up this dollhouse cutely.

Caciocavallo

I made miniature Italian cheese caciocavallo. I like this. This cheese appeared at the shop in also Japan recently.

And others, I made miniature wood baskets again. one basket is use for dollhouse, two baskets are for web shop in the future, and other two are for one thing. It's still secret now. ;-)

The last week, Tokyo, Japan was bad weather by the rainy season. Today's Tokyo is very fine! The clouds looks like a surf. It was made by strong wind.

Done! I painted frying pan, handle of turner and linen with light blue that image of summer. Making egg shape is like a easy, but it is very difficult, I guess. I made a lot of eggs "cock-a-doodle-doo~!"

I put on the palm of my hand. :D Did you feel the size of actual object?

Tomatoes

I made miniature tomatoes. These are overripe. The calyx made from thin paper. It understand the feel of material of calyx in this photo. Zoom lens do good job. hahaha But it don't understand in the naked eyes.

New frying pan

I made new frying pan. Old frying pan was too small. I made a little bit big.

Old frying pan have a problem to paint. The divide is unclear, so when painting different color on this, I couldn't painting well. Finishing is very dirty! I failed four pans. I wasted time... :,-( But I guess this design and coloring are not bad.

It paint all black, became iron frying pan and cute. :D

Cotyledon and Focaccia

Tree cotyledons is growing in the planter of empty can. Normally it thin out seeding to leave only one when crowd together. But this is clay, no problem. :-)

Frying pan

I got a lot of vigor and motivation at the wonderful exhibition of my illustration teacher. :-D I am full for making miniature now! So, I make a dollhouse and other one works the same time.

This is a model of miniature frying pan. I carved out from stone clay board. I could show you colorful frying pan after a few days.

I started to make a miniature oven. I have a hard time to put the plastic board together. But! I am full now! This work is nothing! ...but... a hot and high humidity summer already come in Japan... (I don't like this season :,-() I couldn't keep my great motivation for long time....

Mode city

I went to Aoyama, Tokyo, to see my illustration teacher's group exhibition. I come this city since a few years. I am a country bumpkin this day. LOL I also live in Tokyo, but Tokyo is very large and have the special wards. The special wards are 23 municipalities. A ward I live is never mode city. It like a... mix the suburb and the country. LOL

A few illustrator's works are in the gallery. There are one subject to draw, and their works are based on the subject. I noticed again that various way to draw. I enjoyed! :-)) Someday, I'd like to make use of those ways or idea in my miniature. :D

I left the gallery, I walked to Omotesando. There are a lot of mode and brand shops, for example, BURBERRY, Christian Dior and GUCCI etc. I am not interested them. So, pass!

There are a lot of zelkova trees lines both side of the this avenue.

This is Omotesando Hills where was opened in 2006. There are over 100 famous brand shops in this building, and also residence. People live in this place are so rich!!

And, I walked to Harajuku. A lot of young people are there, recently, H&M and Forever 21 opened. I went to H&M. Well, I had have some doubt that the quality of clothes, because almost item cheap. I thought the quality and design is not bad than recent UNIQLO. A lot of item are sale, I found two clothes of my taste. But the size expression is not Japanese style. So I couldn't understand my size. I looked for the table of size and the mirror, I found just one small board table in the wide floor ):-( and also... the mirror is just one! in the wide floor. )):-( Unfortunately, one clothes is small to me and other was I didn't understand how to coordinate. I didn't buy nothing after all. If I have an opportunity to visit this city, I will go to this shop again.

Strawberry time and space

A works done. :D I decorated the mouth of a container with a ring cookie. It's be more cute impression, I guess.

Tutorial ~planter and plant~

Today, I write about how to make miniature planter and plant,

and simple explanation of copy by silicon rubber.

Well, I already have opened about how to making model and copy

in my website. But those are in Japanese.
And I was requested that translation to English,

but I had lost the opportunity. (I'm sorry!)

So, I decided write new tutorial in strange English.
The planter size is about 1.5cm X 1.5cm.

OK! Here we go!

First, make one board (thick about 1.5mm) and two half balls by stone clay.

One ball is a spare that a case of if failed.

Next, cut half the half ball (become quarter), draw some lines on this, and carve with a cutter, sandpaper and sand sponge etc.

These are my tools, design cutter and sand sponge. The sand sponge is very useful!

Make a part of back of planter. Draw your favorite design. I made a image of basket.

Draw lines and carve to the part of handle.

Dig shallow to the inside planter. It's not need deep, because the plant not plant to the interior.

After dug. And put a planter on back (handle).

Coat with foundation paint gray (surfacer). When put gray on this mold, it can find the strange part in detailed. If found some trouble, correct or adjustment.

And the weak point of stone clay is fluffy in the face. So, file smooth by sand sponge. And coat with the surfacer again. The face will be smooth.

Next step is take a silicon rubber mold. Work such like this photo, and coat with separated compound, and the silicon rubber pour in this box slowly, little by little and like a thread. Never pour a lot of silicon at once, it can not take detail mold.

It have made perfect silicon rubber mold. :D Coat with separated compound (for take out easily), and pour urethan resin in this mold.

The copy done. Adjust shape by sandpaper etc.

If you'd like to put on the wall, hole by router or drill etc.

How to make the texture like a terra cotta:

After coated with surfacer, put color by brush, after dry, put color by sponge, each about 2 times.

Well... I forgot take a photo that making plant. :,-(

I explain in the simple drawing.

This time, almost photos became bigger in one click. (Only last one is not bigger.) You could see more detail. Of course, there are a lot of way in the world. This is a part of a lot of way. I guess some people may already have done this work. And, this way can apply to make your favorite shape of dish, cup or frame etc. I hope today's post is helpful for your works.

I made miniature plant with beautiful leaves from resin clay. This plant's name is Chlorophytum comosum. (I can't memorize this name! X-()

I don't like making miniature plant. X-( I had run way from making miniature plant. But sometimes the plants is important to miniature works. So, I stopped run way. I respect for miniature plant makers. Their plants are very beautiful and delicate. Well... my plant is looks like wild, and actual these leaves are very thin but looks like thick that the cause of wild looking in this photo, I think. :,-( But it's better than wither. ha-ha-ha

I have practiced and studied making miniature plant. I'd like to improve....

I will have tutorial that how to make miniature planter on this blog in this week.

Ring cookie

I made miniature ring cookie with icing. It tied with thread. I guess it could express cutely with thread. Incidentally, blue icing hardly use to sweets in Japan, also blue cream etc. Because, blue to use food is color of decline appetite in Japan. ^_^;
But blue is colorful, so I use to my cookie.

I decorated with strawberry, cream and maple syrup.

Pancake again

I made miniature american style pancake.

I make simple decoration with strawberry and cream on this pancake.

I looked into pancake in the internet. I knew it is different in each countries.

We call "hot cake" and it's thick in Japan. And it's thin in North America, and European pancake is like a crepe.

(Recently, there are some pancake cafe in Japan. So, thin style is famous in our life. :D )

The noodles also is different in each countries, the food culture is very deep. :-o

Meringue & open star decorating tip

I made miniature meringue that made from resin clay (air dry clay).
I put brown on the meringue. And I made about 200 meringues included practice one by one by miniature open star decorating tip.

I made miniature open star decorating tip too. I had investigated about how to make tip for a few days. I tried wring for cream that made from resin clay. There are fine lines. :D

I opened my way of making an open star decorating tip.

First, prepare a wood stick sharpened by pencil sharpener, and make a few lines by chisel.

And covered the wood stick with the epoxy putty (*1), and press for make lines on the epoxy putty , and the stick separate from putty gently and dry a few hour.

After dried, cut the tip a little, arrange to conic shape. And same way actual to wring cream. After used, wash by water and wipe with a cloth. This tip could use a few times.

The cream was made from resin clay "Grace" and "Hearty". Each mix, put in color and a few drops of water, and mix again to like a cream in the little cup etc. If it is too soft, there are not some lines on the cream, but if it is hard a little, the cream couldn't treat easily, besides fingers would became painful. The adjustment is difficult!

I will improve more this tip.

Strawberry cakes

I made miniature strawberry cake. I made a lot of strawberries one by one. I wouldn't like to make this work for some time. :-( I'm tired. LOL
I found a cute cake in the web when I was looking for model of miniature cake. So I modeled this on the cake that found in the web.
Recently, the style of this cake is called "scoop cake" in Japan. Why it is called so. Because take the cake by the cake scoop.
(When I researched "scoop cake" in the web, I couldn't find this name in other country. I have thought that this name is used only Japan. If I am wrong, please point out.)

And I also made other strawberry cake, mille-feuille cake. My fingers shook when I decorated whipped cream and custard cream on the pie. ha-ha-ha

Well... in my actual life, I don't like whipped cream. :-( I can't eat many. But I can eat cream of chocolate taste.

The cake with whipped cream can model to make miniature cake. It look nice and cute. :-)

About grammar

I think the English grammar is very difficult! X(
The grammar of Japanese language and English are very different, also the pronunciation.
For example...

I study English.

I eat dinner at the French restaurant.

change the Japanese grammar:

I English study.
I at the French restaurant dinner eat.

In the case of Japanese grammar, the verb is in last of sentence. And I guess we don't understand perfectly how to use article "the" and "a". Everyone may already have noticed this problem in my blog. LOL
And there are not tense in Japanese language.
For example,

My aunt lives in Tokyo. (present tense)
My aunt has lived in Tokyo. (present perfect tense)

Translate to Japanese, each same mean to us. The present tense and present perfect tense are same in Japanese. We translate in present tense.
I am still in confusion about tense. @_@

When I had drew this, I chuckled. Because then I was wearing same her pink turtleneck shirt too. And my hairstyle look like her. (But my hair color is black.) I was worried if somebody notice about this, I may am laughed!
Fortunately, nobody notice it. It was good!
I never wore pink turtleneck shirt until I finish drawing.

Wall and window

I put wall and window on the left side of dollhouse. First, I was going to put the wall on the left side all. But it feel very narrow and dark inside of house. So the wall is half.

And put two lines on the kitchen wall.

I put little paper on the sink to protect from dust. Because dust may go into the strainer. But I tilt this house to assemble many times. The paper fall frequently... :-(
